Terms & Conditions
1.Code of Conduct of the class:
Student should arrive five minutes before the class starts. Proper warm-up is done at the beginning of class which is vital for proper conditioning and learning. Hence those who arrive late may be asked to work on theory or observe the remaining duration of the class.
2.Class dress code:
Class dress code is strictly followed. Classical Indian dance looks best in Indian clothes. It is required that students wear traditional attire (Salwar/Churidaar Kameez) or a comfortable dress with tights that will allow students to move. Hair must be pinned back, out of the face and secured in a ponytail, if long. Those who are not dressed in proper attire, will be asked to remain seated and observe the class for the duration of the class, NO EXCEPTIONS.
3.Observance, Practice and Homework:
Parents are allowed to see their kids in the class during the training. Odissi, like all Indian classical dances, requires discipline and dedication. In order to make the best of your child's learning experience, regular practice is a MUST and is most beneficial if monitored and mandated by a parent at home. Homework will be assigned and dancers are expected to submit the homework on time. All classes are recorded and students who miss a class are encouraged to watch the recording and practice.
4.Class Schedule:
Dance classes will be scheduled from mid-August through May of each year. Class sessions will be for duration of 1 hour per week. There will be extra classes for the annual recital, so please plan your schedule accordingly.

We request that a parent call or email the teacher in advance, to inform the teacher and staff of any absences, illness, or problem a student might be having. 6.3 -In the case of serious illness or any critical issue, that would require students to miss a month or more of class, tuition might be waived (this is determined on a case-by case basis).
